Paneer Puff

Blogger marathon # 4 By Srivalli, Day 6, Favorite recipes of all kids, Puff- Paneer Puff.
             Paneer recipes go well with all the kids. My daughter loves paneer always, I used to prepare paneer in many ways like paneer 65, fry and butter masala etc. One day she asked me to make puffs but she said she don’t want veg puff.
             Then I got an idea to make paneer puff, this is my own masala, which really was a great success. I used capsicum instead of green chilli, because kids like capsicum taste. I taught of adding peas to it. But I was not having peas at home so I dint add it. If u like to add peas, then it will be more tastier. I think this is an Easy recipe for people who get frequent guests at home. This takes around 30min with the preparation and baking together. So here goes our paneer recipe. 
Puff pastry sheet 2 no (cut in square size) will get 4 squares
Butter for greasing
Baking sheet 1no
Paneer Cubes 1 cup
Onion (chopped finely) ¼ cup
Capsicum (chopped finely) 2tbsp
Tomato chopped ¼ cup
Garam masala powder ½ tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Red chilli powder ½ - 1 tsp (according to taste)
Pepper/ jeera /sombu powder 1tsp
Butter 1tsp
Oil as required
Salt to taste
Lemon juice 1 tsp (optional)
Egg white for final brushing 1no or Milk for brushing on the top of the pastry before baking.
Add butter/ oil in pan. Add onion and capsicum fry well till the colour change to pink. Add tomato and fry well till the oil leaves then add the red chilli powder and other mentioned spices, fry well. When onion masala leaves oil, Add paneer. Mix well and crumble the paneer well using the ladle. Add salt. If u like at last add 1 tsp lemon juice. Switch off the flame. Allow to cool.
Pre heat the oven to 190 C .Take the square puff pastry. Keep it in the greased baking sheet, fill one half of  pastry sheet with little masala .close it from one corners to the opposite side diagonally  like shown in the pic and brush the top with little egg white. Make little opening on the top (as shown).  Make other three puff pastry in the same way. Arrange it in the baking tray. Keep in the oven for around 15 -20 min.Paneer puff is ready to serve with the hot tea, enjoy…

Omg, DIvya trust me or not i prepared paneer puffs yesterday for our snacks, but i went paneer and potato filling..Can guess how tasty they are..
