Ghee roast is a favourite dish for all of us and i add curd in the dosa batter to get this perfect finish. here todays breakfast for all :)
2 cup Raw rice
1 cup idli rice
1 cup urad dhal
salt to taste
a pinch of soda
2 tbsp Sour curd
oil/ghee for frying
Soak rice and dhal to gether fo r 5 hours.
Grind to smooth paste with enough water.
Allow to ferment over nite.
Next day mix curd, soda and dilute the dough if necessary with water.
Heat tawa and pour laddle full of dough in the centre.
Spread in circular motion towards the outer edge.
Add a tsp of oil and ghee.
Serve hot with sambar and chutney.

Mixed Vegetable Sambar
This simple Mixed vegetable sambar is easy to make and very tasty to have with dosas & Idli. I love to try lot of varieties in Sambar.
1 cup Mixed vegetables (potato, carrot, broad beans, butter beans, pumpkin, brinjal,drumsticks …..)
1 ½ cup Tamarind extract (thick)
1 cup Toor dhal
1no Onion (chopped)
2no Green chilli
1tsp Turmeric powder
3tsp Sambar powder
salt to taste
¼ cup Small onions (finely chopped)
1tsp Mustard seeds
1tsp Urad dhal
5no Red chilli
10 no Curry leaves
Take a pressure cooker
Add enough water and pressure cook toordhal with vegetables.
Take a kadai and add 4tsp of oil, splutter mustard seeds, urad dhal, curryleaves, add small onions and red chilli. Fry well til the onion turns dark brown.
Add sambar powder and tamarind extract. Boil till the raw smell goes and add toordhal mixture. Boil in sim.
Garnish with cut coriander . Serve hot with Dosa or idli.
