Nawabi Paneer curry is a tasty and yummy recipe. For parties and get together we can prepare this dish in the main course with chappathi or parathas. We use cream and paneer both in this recipe so it is very heavy dish. This recipe is a treat for paneer lovers.
200 gms Paneer
1 cup Cooked green peas
4 cloves Garlic
1 inch Ginger piece
2 tbsp Chopped Cashew nut
1 no Big Onion (chopped)
1 no Capsicum (chopped)
½ cup Coconut milk (medium thickness)
4 no Green chillies
1 no Bay leaf
2 tbsp Curd (beat nicely)
½ bunch Corriander leaves
1 tbsp Cream
Salt to taste
½ tsp Cumin seeds
3 no Clove
1/2tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp Chilli powder
4 tbsp grated coconut
Cut paneer in cubes and deep fry. And immerse in water (this helps to keep paneer soft)
Soak cut cashewnuts in boiling water for 1 hour.
Heat ghee in a shallow pan and fry onions till golden brown, Add ginger and garlic, capsicum , bayleaf, ground masala and fry well for 2 min.
Add green chillies, coconut milk, curd, cashewnut, paneer, peas , salt and coriander leaves. If needed add little water .
Sim for 10 min. At last add the whipped cream and bring to boil.
Serve hot along with parathas nans and chappathis.
We can modify this recipe by using potatoes instead of paneer. Or we can add all vegetables and make curry.
